Sleep clinic consultation

When you see this statement on your prescription, it means that you must meet with a sleep respirologist (pulmonologist) who will perform a clinical and physical assessment. This specialist can identify your risk of sleep apnea and determine the appropriate test to obtain an accurate diagnosis. The meeting can be held at a Biron clinic and is covered by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec.

Hot zone

A hot zone is a section of a facility (sometimes an entire facility or even a city district) where there is a high risk of contamination by patients with an infectious disease. All individuals entering a hot zone must respect appropriate protective measures. By analogy, “cold zone” and “warm zone” are used to refer to areas where there is no infected individual or only individuals suspected of having an infection.
