Pilot Project: Travel Pass application from IATA for your COVID-19 test result

Digital passport for travelers flying from Montreal to Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle via Air France

Important information

  • This pilot project is only offered to passengers from Montreal to Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle
  • The digital passport is offered to passengers once they have received a negative COVID-19 test result from the Biron clinic situated in the Montreal-Trudeau Airport.
  • There are no extra fees attached to the Travel Pass application.
  • Using the application is optional and not mandatory.
  • Travelers who are fully vaccinated do not need to be tested prior to departure.

How to participate

  1. Download the IATA Travel Pass application on the App Store or Google Play and create an account. Then add your flight number.
  2. Schedule an appointment for your test at the Biron-Aéroport de Montréal clinic.
  3. During your appointment, ask a Biron employee for a QR code.
  4. Scan the QR code through your Travel Pass application.
Tests offered at the Montreal-Trudeau Airport

The Aéroport-de-Montréal clinic offers appointments from Monday to Sunday, between 5:30 a.m. and 8:15 p.m.

Rapid antigenic test

  • Test performed at YUL Montreal-Trudeau Airport

  • Result in approximately 15 minutes

  • Appointment booking online only.

  • Cost: $149

Rapid RT-PCR test

  • Test performed at YUL Montreal-Trudeau Airport.

  • Result in approximately 1 hour.

  • Appointment booking by telephone only.

  • Cost: $299

Standard RT-PCR Test

  • Test performed at YUL Montreal-Trudeau Airport.

  • Important: Test must be performed minimum 72 hours prior to departure.

  • Appointment booking for the Montreal Airport clinic available only by telephone.

  • Cost: $250

Who is eligible for this initiative?

The pilot project is only available for travelers on Air France to Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle who are tested at the Biron clinic situated in the Montreal-Trudeau Airport, and who explicitly ask for the QR code. Passengers on connecting flights are not eligible for the pilot project.

If I am eligible, how can I participate?

Travelers who can potentially participate in the pilot project will be informed and invited to do so by the airline (Air France).

I have accepted the invitation to participate. Now what?

Travelers will need to download the IATA Travel Pass application and follow the necessary instructions given in order to use the QR code.
