Important information: Instructions for pulse oximetry screening

It is important to fill out and return the two attached documents to bironsommeil@biron.com or hand them in in hard copy form when you return the device. Without these documents, we will not be able to analyze the results. Desktop computer users can fill out the documents directly on their screen.

The documents to be completed are the following:

1. Consent form
2. Pediatric pulse oximetry evaluation questionnaire

• When: The day of your appointment
• Where: The service centre determined when you book your appointment

• When: The day after the screening, between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (unless you have been given other information)
• Where: The same place where you picked up your device the previous day

Please note that each device is carefully disinfected using specialized products that eliminate viruses.

1. Presence: The child’s presence is not required when picking up the device.
2. Health conditions: If the child is suffering from significant nasal congestion or an unusual medical condition on the day of the screening, it would be preferable to reschedule the appointment by calling us at 1 866 341-4975.
3. Nails: A sensor will be placed on one of your child’s fingers or toes. Make sure to remove any nail polish or fake nails to ensure that the signal is properly recorded.
