Home sleep test

What’s a home sleep test?

A home sleep test evaluates whether you suffer from obstructive sleep apnea (i.e., upper airway obstruction during sleep). It’s performed at your home during a full night’s sleep using a portable Biron device that records cardiorespiratory signals during sleep. Therefore, this test is indicated for patients with several symptoms associated with sleep apnea.

It’s simple, fast and effective

Biron offers you a home sleep test that you can perform at a time of your choosing. You don’t have to go anywhere. The device will be mailed directly to your home. It’s simple, fast and effective. Visit our online store to learn more about this device and see if it’s right for you. It’s designed to maximize your comfort while providing a diagnostic result representative of your current sleep patterns. You’ll receive a box containing all the materials and instructions needed to install the equipment. In addition, a step-by-step video will guide you through the installation process.

If this test isn’t suitable for you, our team will be pleased to welcome you at one of our service centres. We’ll give you a case containing all the accessories you’ll need to perform the test. You’ll also find detailed instructions to help you install the equipment along with a step-by-step video. You can install your device before bedtime and remove it in the morning. You’ll need to wear the device for at least five hours in order to get good results. This will give you enough time to complete your test before returning the device to Biron the next day.

The longer you wear the device, the more representative the recorded data will be. We recommend that you wear the device for at least five hours.

Following your diagnosis, you’ll be offered a personalized meeting with a respiratory therapist, regardless of the test you’ve taken. This meeting will complete the evaluation of the signs and symptoms associated with your sleep disorder.
