Biron Health Group completes acquisition of BiogeniQ

Brossard, February 20, 2018 – Biron Health Group (hereafter Biron) announced today that, after making an initial investment in 2015, it has now fully acquired BiogeniQ, thereby completing the integration of BiogeniQ’s service offering into Biron’s family. This acquisition enables Biron to strengthen its position as industry leader in the field of diagnosis, screening and prevention and also improves its corporate growth strategy. The genetic counselling and genetic tests developed by BiogeniQ complement specialized testing to the services already offered to Biron’s patients and their doctors.

BiogeniQ's mission is to provide simple genetic information that can be used to optimize its clients’ treatment and well-being. The acquisition is an important milestone for BiogeniQ, as it enables the company to leverage the knowledge of Biron’s experienced personnel – management, scientists and other professionals – in order to continue expanding within Quebec and across Canada.

The process of integrating BiogeniQ will continue in 2018, so that genetics becomes an integral part of Biron's service offer. The BiogeniQ team will continue to operate under the BiogeniQ name.
