Your Questions — 1 minute

What is the validity period of a genetic test?

Genetic testing of saliva samples is done on what is called genomic DNA, which is the genetic code that each person receives, at conception, in equal parts from both biological parents.

Although there may be minor, sporadic changes in some body cells, the sequence of a person’s genomic DNA does not change over their lifetime.

So your genetic test results at age 7 will be exactly the same at age 90!
